Parents Association
Who we are
Both Bournes Green Schools have very active Parents Associations. While they work separately on some events, other such as thur Summer Fayre are a joint effort. The Parents Associations or PAs for short, have always been there as one of your first steps into the Bournes Green community. The great news is that every person who has a child at the school automatically becomes a member of the PA! They are group of committed parents who provide valuable support by organising a varied calendar of fundraising and social events that are an important part of school life.
What we do
We raise money by hosting a wide range of events and activities throughout the year including:
- Mother’s and Father’s Day Sales
- Non-Uniform Sales
- School Discos
- The Parents’ Ball
- Summer Fete
- Christmas Fayre
- Non-Uniform Days
- Quiz Nights
- Coin Trail
- Cake Sales
Why join the PA and what is involved?
Every year, money raised by the PA is used to maintain the school minibuses, which are vital to the school; they are used on a regular basis to transport the children to sporting events and school trips. Additionally, the PA has funded the purchase of new library books, playground equipment, iPads and the refurbishment of the school swimming pool.
Your support means that you are able to provide funds to enhance your child’s education and support the school community.
Come and join us
We are always looking for new ideas and warmly welcome new members to lend a helping hand. We are a friendly bunch and enjoy our involvement in the PA, it is an important role, and it makes us proud to be supporting the school and our children.
